This achievement paves the way for high-performance, food-grade recycled plastics to enter the U.S. market, addressing the surging global demand for sustainable packaging and reinforcing the transition toward a circular economy.
The newly authorized process supports the production of rPP materials which can be used at levels up to 100% for the manufacture of articles. The articles are intended to contact dry foods across temperatures from ambient to frozen (FDA Conditions of Use E through G).
