N-acetylneuraminic acid (NANA) is the major form of sialic acid in mammals (Acetylneuraminic Acid), traditionally contained in Edible bird's nest (EBN), an expensive functional Asian health supplement, and now following the notification by the national Chinese firm, a new cosmetic ingredient. REACH24H Steps In REACH24H and its technical team provided professional support to Wuhan Zhongke Optics Valley Green Biotechnology Co., Ltd. for the safety assessment of new cosmetic ingredient. Although the Technical Guidelines for Cosmetic Safety Assessment (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidelines") is considered the most difficult regulatory text in the industry, and since the ingredient is derived from a complex biological fermentation process, the technical team engaged in over one month of research with the company's experts to determine the relevant safety assessment pathway.
