During the Seminar, the organizers reviewed the 9th World Congress on Alternative and Animal Use in the Life Sciences and also discussed how to promote domestic alternative method development. On the first day, the participants had a profound discussion about the alternative technologies and validation of in vitro skin models. As two leading domestic skin model manufacturers, Fourth Military Medical University and Foreland Pharma Co, .Ltd both had a share in their skin model achievements. At the same time, foreign cosmetics companies L'Oreal, and Procter & Gamble also shared their in vitro models as well as methods for cosmetics efficacy and safety evaluation.
