Background
Chile applies a sanitary regulatory framework to cosmetic products that requires prior authorization before they can be placed on the market. This pre-market approach, combined with ongoing regulatory oversight, makes an understanding of Chile's regulatory system important for companies involved in the manufacture, importation, or marketing of cosmetic products. The regulatory landscape is also evolving, with further changes expected to shape the compliance environment.
In this webinar, Inés Carreño, Head of the Cosmetic Products Section at the National Agency for Medicines (ANAMED), Public Health Institute of Chile (ISP), will provide an overview of Chile's cosmetic regulatory framework and key requirements for placing cosmetic products on the market. She will cover product classification, sanitary authorization, ingredient and labelling requirements, as well as post-market surveillance. The webinar will also address upcoming regulatory changes, offering insights from the perspective of the Chilean health authority.
