Background
The Act on the Registration and Evaluation of Chemicals (K-REACH) serves as the core regulation in South Korea's chemical regulatory system. Risk-based in its approach, this regulation imposes systematic management on the manufacture, import, and use of chemical substances within South Korea through mechanisms of registration, evaluation, and information transmission.
Since August 7, 2025, the revised provisions of K-REACH have been officially enforced. This revision introduces the concept of substance with unconfirmed hazards, refines the classification for toxic substances, and simultaneously strengthens the corresponding requirements for substance information and risk transmission.
Contents
This webinar will interpret the key points in the revision, address common questions raised by companies since its implementation, and help businesses better understand their compliance obligations for market access and ongoing regulatory management in South Korea.
