Are you interested in obtaining Union authorisation for your biocidal product?

Union authorisation allows companies to place a biocidal product on the EU market without the need for specific national authorisation. It is designed for products that share similar conditions of use across the EU. To keep the existing biocidal product on the market, companies have to apply for its authorisation by the date specified in the European Commission’s regulation for the approval of the active substance. The upcoming deadlines for Union authorisation applications has been listed in table 1. For companies interested in applying for a Union authorisation to keep the product on the market, they should check the substance-specific deadlines on table 1 and apply on time. ECHA also recommends companies to make a pre-submission to ECHA at least six months before the companies submit the Union authorisation application. This free-of-charge consultation system helps identify any potential issues that may need to be addressed.
