China Unveils 2019 National Food Safety Standard Plan (Draft)

  • Standards for special food labeling, sports nutrition, popular food additives ARA, DHA, GOS and some test methods are proposed to be revised
  • 5 standards for FSMP (Food for Special Medical Purposes) are put on the drafting agenda and 6 extra FSMP types are added.

On May 22nd, 2019, National Health Commission (NHC) opened the draft version of 2019 national food safety standards legislation plan for public feedback.[1] Altogether 81 national standards are proposed to be formulated or revised.
