Background
Ukraine REACH, also known as Technical Regulation on the Safety of Chemical Products, is a comprehensive legislation on chemical management modeled after EU REACH. On July 23, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Ukraine REACH, which is set to take effect on January 26, 2025. Ukraine REACH introduces a “no data, no market” principle, meaning that chemical substances produced or imported into Ukraine in quantities of 1 ton/year or more must be registered with Ministry of Environment in Ukraine.
The pre-registration will start from January 26, 2025 and end on January 26, 2026. It is crucial for companies to pre-register their existing substances in order to benefit from the transitional period and continue their chemical activities while preparing registration.
This webinar will introduce a basic regulatory framework of Ukraine REACH, with a focus on pre-registration and registration requirements. It aims to help companies exporting to Ukraine understand regulatory developments and address their general compliance challenges.
