Takehome:

• The grace period of FSMP product registration is extended to Jan 1st, 2019

On November 22, 2017, China CFDA announced a one year extension of the FSMP registration grace period. From Jan 1st, 2019, only CFDA registered FSMPs can enter the Chinese market. Domestic and imported FSMP products which are manufactured prior to December 31, 2018 can be sold in China until expiration date.

The previous announcement related to FSMP grace period (No. 119 of 2016) no longer applies.
