Key GB/T Standards on Chemical Testing Methods Take Effect since 1 August

Four dozen China GB/(T) Standards on chemical testing methods and hazardous chemicals take effect as of 1 August 2012   2 August 2012   A total of 48 Chinese national standards, mostly in GB/T (nationwide recommended) type, regarding the determination and testing methods of chemicals, chemical hazard classification and packaging of dangerous goods are coming into force as of the first date of August this year. This group of national standards has been incorporated in an official announcement No 23 of 2011 issued by the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China (SAC) on December 30 of 2011. In the SAC announce 23 of 2011, the agency together with China’s AQSIQ has published in total 625 national standards that are essential to various domestic chemical industries including polymers, plastic & rubber, coating, electronic, textiles and petroleum chemicals, etc.
